Collaboration with the Department
of Biological Sciences of UQAM
Great news for KAT Innovation !
We, KAT Innovation and Professor Roland Savard, are very pleased to announce that we have started our in vitro study in collaboration with the Department of Biological Sciences of UQAM. This study is part of our general objective to determine the mechanisms of action of our technology OSTAAT™ to stimulate bone growth. The experiments are performed by research assistant Arleth Pozo, a master's student, under the supervision of Professor Tatiana Scorza.
This study is very important because it will support the significant results obtained in humans in a first study that is being published. This study is in line with the following objectives: To demonstrate the effects of calcium channel modulation on calcium entry into osteoblasts, cell differentiation and cell proliferation;
Determine the optimal electrical current of the OSTAAT™ technology that can modulate calcium channel opening, calcium entry into cells, cell differentiation and proliferation.
